Radical Self-Care is a centering process of transformation and healing that reminds us of our inherent brilliance and goodness.  It is the core value that underlies our coaching and consulting strategy: the Orange Method (OM).

ABOUT THE ORANGE METHOD (OM)

Created by- Dr. Joi Lewis, Founder & CEO of Joi Unlimited

  • Why Orange? It is the sacral chakra color. It is located in your lower abdomen and is the most important emotional center; transformation starts at this centering place. Furthermore, the color orange is amazing!
  • Why OM? It is a sacred sound and spiritual icon in Dharmic religions. It means self within and the entirety of the universe. I expand OM in this context to also mean transformation and liberation and to remind us of our need for therapeutic spaces, healthy eating, conscious movement and emotional liberation, and our ability to transform against the back-drop of oppression induced trauma.

 

ABOUT RADICAL INCLUSIVITY

 

Radical Inclusivity, a core value of the Belonging Establishment (BE), is the practice of going out of our way to welcome people and create a sense of belonging. It not only assists organizations in their efforts to recruit and retain members of historically underrepresented groups, but also helps strengthen relationships among those who are already connected.

ABOUT THE BELONGING ESTABLISHMENT (BE)

BE was created as a vehicle for community-based cultural onboarding, particularly for people of color and other underrepresented populations. BE asserts that Radical Hospitality is not a luxury but rather a necessary act to interrupt oppression. The result creates a deep sense of belonging, central to disrupting both historic and current patterns of isolation that keep us from being fully connected and present with ourselves and others.
